Orphans is a social slap in the face. Irresistible, suffocating, inevitable.
FIRST PRIZE FROM THE PRESS CLUB - AVIGNON OFF 2025
"Orphans," a new production directed by Olivier Sanquer ("Tom at the Farm," "The Lilies"), hits you like a ton of bricks. A brutal shattering of the closed-door drama that throws us into the savagery of reality. Faithful to the In Yer Face dogma and Dennis Kelly's surgical pen, the stage becomes a visceral and necessary arena.
A couple, Hélène and Daniel, are preparing to celebrate the upcoming arrival of a new child. But then Léo, Hélène's brother, arrives. He is covered in blood. Léo claims to have come to the aid of someone being attacked. But is he telling the whole truth?
The Naceo collective presents this powerful play, a play that confronts us with social issues we too often turn a blind eye to.
"A truly powerful and remarkable performance... An unmissable show!" - Spectatif
“Extraordinary” A truly powerful performance in Dennis Kelly's intention. A very strong stage presence that conveys a great deal of emotion. It's very beautiful, it's magnificent. (...) A very rich text." - RCF Radio
"Three actors who win over the audience with the rage they express and the pain that emanates from each of them. Their experience of daily life is harsh, raw, without embellishment or sugarcoating." - La Provence
